FaceHalo

Updated: Feb 3, 2021

According to WWF, the amount of water needed to produce one kilogram of cotton is the same amount one person would drink over three years. So, just think about how much water we waste on a single-use cotton pad or cotton swab?

And water isn't the most significant issue here, the most substantial environmental impact is due to the pesticides used to grow the cotton in the first place. They deplete soil quality and then, as a direct result, leach into the water systems, which affects the animals and people living within the growing areas.

Nowadays, there are so many alternatives to single-use products, like cotton pads.

Meet FaceHalo. Reusable, Recyclable, Non-Toxic Cotton Pads.

FaceHalo can withstand up to 200 wash cycles and replaces up to 500 makeup wipes. They are recyclable, the locations can be found on their website. And, you basically just need water to remove your makeup.

This is my second set of FaceHalo, these ones are the original, and before these, I had Pro.

Easy to use, easy to reuse, easy to wash, good for the Planet, good for your skin. It's like a win, win, win, win, win!

I have to be honest; I use FaceHalo as my first cleanse, and afterward, I'd use a cleanser of choice and Foreo Luna 2.

Or I will do double cleanse if I don't use FaceHalo.

I also use it to wash off all my clay-based masks, or basically, any mask that is hard to wash, I'd just wipe it off with wet FaceHalo.

Nowadays, there are many alternatives to single-use products: reusable cotton pads for makeup removal or tonner application, reusable cotton swabs, makeup eraser, face clothes, even period underwear. You can find anything online. I'd definitely check them out. Let's try to be kinder to our Planet one cotton round at a time.
