Yes, it is another hair related post. What can I do? I looove trying new things and experimenting.
And very often those experiments fail, these are just a few that come to mind: Brazilian blowout, Keratin treatment, Japanese straightening, highlights, lowlights, balayage, hair color remover, bleach...
I tried it all over the years, and I have a pattern, I try a new treatment or hair procedure, or hair color, it severely damages my hair, I try to heal my hair, it doesn't work, I cut my hair, I grow it back. I do smth damaging again; I try to treat it, it never works, I cut my hair, I grow it back, and you got it.
So, after years of mistreating my hair, it's time to cut it again, grow it back, and be kind.
I am a massive believer in trims and also in a happy scalp.
I am currently using these two products. Not at the same time, though.
The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density.
Reverie CAKE Restorative Scalp Tonic.
The Ordinary Serum has a great list of ingredients. It contains antioxidants, soothing and anti-inflammatory ingredients: Caffeine, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Glycerin.
Peptides: Biotinoyl, Tripeptide-1, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3.
Exfoliants: Lactic acid, Gluconolactone.
It supposed to make hair look thicker, denser, fuller, and healthier.
I used it for a month and still have half a bottle left. My thoughts - I haven't noticed much of a difference. When it comes to scalp treatments, it takes time, up to 90 days actually, so you have to be patient, and that's not the best of my qualities.
I didn't particularly appreciate that it made my hair look greasy fast, especially now when I'm re-educating my hair and only washing it twice a week. But when I cut down on the amount that I used, it seems like it solved the problem.
I finished the bottle, I might repurchase it, as the price is so amazing, but I can't be 100% sure about that. As I have a few other products on my wishlist, I'd like to try!
Reverie CAKE Restorative Scalp Tonic is perfect for the scalp that needs some love. If the scalp is dry, itchy, or flaky, this tonic will soothe and moisturize it. It also contains a bunch of essential oils, glycerin, fruit cell extracts, antioxidants, soothing and moisturizing ingredients.
I have only been using it for three weeks and so far, so good. It doesn't make my scalp oily, so I can stick to my regime and wash my hair twice a week.
My scalp feels good; the allergic reaction I had on Leonor Grey products is gone now. So, I finish the bottle and update how it went.
