Some of you might remember a while ago I ran out of hair oil and wanted to get one.
But as I am turning more and more into "read your ingredients," kinda girl, it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be.
So after spending hours checking every ingredient of every hair oil on the market. (Some might assume I have too much free time on my hands)
I finally found THE ONE. Or at least the hair oil without silicones, and with the cleanest ingredient list I could find.
Reverie EVER Recovery Hair Oil.
The brand was founded by Hairstylist Garrett Markenson. The philosophy behind the brand "less is more." There are just a few, but the most necessary products—shampoo, conditioner, scalp tonic, hair mist, hair milk, and hair oil.
First, it doesn't feel like oil, even though there are like 18 different oils mixed in one bottle. It's very lightweight, it absorbs immediately, adds shine, makes hair soft and manageable. It smells lovely and doesn't weigh hair down. I've been using it for over 2,5 weeks now, and I am pretty happy with it. The only thing, even though it's very lightweight, you should be careful and apply on ends or mid-length only because, at some point, I got so excited that rubbed it all over my head, and it wasn't a great idea.
As for the ingredients, they are pretty awesome as well.
The first ingredient is Dicaprylyl Ether, which is emollient, solvent. It's a colorless and odorless oily liquid that works as a fast-spreading emollient.
And after that pretty much everything else is some kind of oil or essential oil, or leaf extract. Marula seed oil, Soybean oil, Rosemary leaf extract, Jasmine flower oil, Sage leaf oil, Sunflower seed oil, Squalane...
