When I used to live in China, Korean skincare was my go-to. But once we relocated, not so much, I tend to buy American brands mostly, sometimes French.
This is my first purchase from the brand. And so far I am happy with it. I got this mask a few weeks ago and managed to try it 3 times already. I like that it's made without Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates. You can't be too careful nowadays.
One of the main ingredients are Kaolin, which helps to cleanse and exfoliate the skin, Titanium Dioxide, that protects the skin from UVA and UVB radiation, and a bunch of different acids: palmitic acid, that softens and soothe the skin, Stearic Acid, which is a fatty acid, used as an emollient and emulsifier, it protects skin's surface against water loss and endorses skin's protective barrier and Lauric Acid that has antibacterial properties, and it's been found to effectively combat acne.
This mask is called PEEL for a reason; with all the acids and Exfoliating Enzymes, it will literally resurface your skin. ALMOST like you got a professional Peeling at your beautician of choice.
The texture of the mask is very rich and creamy. It reminded me of a typical clay mask. It is hard to wash off; the first time I used it, it took me a little over 7 minutes, but now I just use my FaceHalo, which makes life easier.
It says to leave for 5 minutes, and I followed the instruction, and I highly recommend doing so to everyone who wants to give this mask a try. It's potent, and 5 minutes is more than enough.
As a result, I got smoother skin, more radiant, and generally, the texture of my skin has improved, and so as the quality.
I wouldn't recommend using it too often unless your pores are clogged badly, and you have really oily skin.
If your skin is like mine normal/combination, then once a week or even once every 10 days is more than enough. Don't overuse it.
I'd also recommend trying it out either before evening shower or just before nighttime, rather than in the morning, keep in mind all the acids I mentioned earlier.
Also, remember to apply SPF the next day and for at least 7-10 days afterward.
I mean, in the summertime, please be mindful and just use SPF every day.
