Many beauty bloggers agree on one thing: among all your skincare products, the cleanser is the least important because it stays on your skin the shortest time.
I personally can't DISAGREE more. I can't emphasize enough how vital it is cleansing your skin correctly and thoroughly. I love the feeling of clean, freshly washed skin, either it's the first thing in the morning or the last thing before I go to bed.
Usually, I would use gel cleanser from either @clinique or @drunkelephant wash my face once. And then rewash it with the same product, but using my Foreo Luna 2. It's like double-cleanse, but my style.
But as I am getting so good at using my SPF daily, I realized that I need a "triple-cleanse" to wash off my tinted SPF.
Instead of using the same product twice, I substituted my first gel cleanser on smth havier like balm from @clinique or mousse "whip to clay" from @elizabetharden and left my gel cleansers and Luna 2 as a second cleanse. And it works just lovely.
As you might know, @clinique "cleansing balm" has been on the market for years now, but this is my first time using it.
I am still getting used to massaging my dry, full of makeup face with this balm and then washing everything off, but as days went by, I started liking it more and more.
It melts makeup the way oil would, but the main difference for me is that when I wash it off with warm water, it doesn't feel oily at all, it just transforms into a creamy texture, and then it's gone, leaving my face feeling clean-ish, but not disgusting.
Superstart Probiotic Cleanser from @ElizabethArden. I have to confess, I bought it mostly because of the word "probiotic."
I was intrigued. It sounded mysteriously healthy to me, clever marketing, what can I say?
The smell is delightful. The consistency is very thick, it feels like clay, it's harder to wash off than the balm from Clinique (it's good I keep my @facehalo handy), and you have to leave it for a minute before massaging it or washing it off.
It does a pretty good job, but it feels striping on my skin. I can get away with it now, but not in wintertime.
It doesn't wash off my eye makeup good enough though, you definitely need the second cleanse.
