I love to travel. There is nothing better for me than discovering a new country: tasting local food, talking to people, exploring new places, just browsing around and getting lost eventually.
My husband is so organized, he does his research beforehand, he knows exactly where we are going and when, what we are going to see, what restaurants we are going to eat, he plans all the steps we are going to take. I love this quality in people, planners, multitaskers, organizers, I wish I could be like that.
I am more "go with the flow" kind of person. As much as I try to plan and research prior to the trip, most of the times I end up getting lost, which is not always a bad thing, because sometimes due to this rare ability of mine I can accidentally find something special, like a real gem, that wasn't mentioned in the guidebooks.

Anyways, long story short. Last month we traveled to Germany and visited Berlin for the very first time. We have been to Germany before, wonderful country, very picturesque, friendly people, delicious food. Berlin was a win. It's very green for capital, Tiergarten was stunning, we took pictures after pictures.
Wandering on Friedrichstraße I noticed a beauty salon, well, of course, I did. I have an eye for these sort of places.
It was Babor beauty salon. I have heard about this brand before, it's an old German, a family-owned skin care company, that is conscious about the environment, which I personally think is so important.
I have never tried before any of their products and decided that the best possible place to start was in Germany, of course.
So, I ended our day full of sightseeing, with a little bit of shopping.

I got their bestsellers, obviously :
- Babor Enzyme Cleanser (Powder) 75g 34$
- Babor Cleansing Foam 200 ml 35$
- Babor AMPOULE CONCENTRATES Hydra Plus 7 x 2 ml (14 ml) 29.95$
- Babor DOCTOR BABOR - LIFTING RX Collagen Cream 15ml 50$
It's been 3 weeks since we are back to the US and I'm ready to share my experience.
As for the cleansers: Enzyme Cleanser is a powder and all I have to do is to add some water and rub it in between my palms, so the powder becomes an exfoliating foam.
It contains Vitamin C and water activated enzymes. Though the foam is very gentle and leaves skin feeling soft, refreshed and renewed, I am using it every other day, as it still exfoliates and you don't want to overdo it. Because it's a powder and you only need a tiny little bit, I am sure it will last me for a very long time. My verdict is, I like it a lot and I will definitely repurchase it.
Babor Cleansing Foam is the one I am using every single day, it is extremely gentle and lightweight. It's very delicate on the skin, leave my face and neck feeling soft, tighten, moisturized. It washes off makeup really well. First, I would use 2 pumps to wash off the makeup and then I add another pump on my Foreo Luna 2 and give it a minute of additional cleansing.
If I could change one thing about this product it would be the smell. It smells like Windex to me. I can't help it. But other than that I am very satisfied. Most likely I will repurchase this one as well.
Hydra Plus Ampoule Concentrate. It comes in a box which contains 7 ampoules (2 ml each)
It is supposed to be used in the morning or evening for 7 days (I personally used in the evenings, as a part of my night skincare routine)
It is a concentrated skincare booster for dehydrated skin. It contains Hyaluronic Acid and a plant-based moisturizer that help supply skin with intense hydration.
I have used it for 7 days and personally haven't really noticed anything.
You take an ampoule, shake it well, break the glass and spread it all over the face, neck, decollete. 2ml is more than enough to cover generously everything, I actually managed to have two layers of the product on. The smell is really nice, but that is basically it. It felt a bit tacky after application, which I can tolerate if only the product worked, but to be quite honest, I didn't notice much of a difference next morning.
Maybe next time I'll try something else, there are plenty of other options like lifting, repairing, purifying, ampoules with multivitamins, etc.
And the last, but not least DOCTOR BABOR - LIFTING RX Collagen Cream.
I got a travel size, 15 ml. The cream is rich, with a very delicate smell, easily applies and soak right into the skin. I can already tell that it made my skin smoother and younger-looking. Lines and small wrinkles are less visible, I can still see that they are there, but the whole face just looks smoother and the pores are less obvious as well. I like that it's not sticky and absorbs very well. I will repurchase this cream at some point for sure.
Thank you for taking your time and reading this article, I hope it was useful.
